The Opportunity

Our Personal Care Worker (Home Care team) provide one-on-one care to help older Victorians live comfortably in their own homes. They help clients stay connected and feel supported by assisting with daily activities, personal care, and community engagement. Focused on delivering compassionate care, our care team thrive doing meaningful work, knowing that they are valued. With access to training, growth opportunities, and a supportive team, they have everything they need to be self-motivated and resilient while working in a safe environment

Our home care team operates Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am and 5pm. You can pick what days you wish to work, and how many hours per week - offering a great work life balance and you may see 2-4 clients per day.

What You Will Do

  • Helping clients with domestic activities such as light cleaning, shopping, laundry and meal preparation
  • Accompanying clients on outdoor activities such as going for a gentle stroll, gardening or going for a coffee or lunch
  • Contributing to clients care by sharing and identifying client’s needs to ensure they can remain safe at home for as long as possible
  • Supporting clients with their personal care needs e.g. showering and dressing.
  • Working independently with one client at a time, you’ll be able to build a more personalised relationship for our Eastern regions - Mooroolbark, Lilydale, Yarra Valley, and Mount Evelyn.
 

About you

To be successful in this role you will need

  • Completed Certificate III / IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Aging and Disability or Health Service Assistance (required)
  • Current NDIS clearance and Police Check (required)
  • Current First Aid and CPR (required)
  • A full Driver Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance ( to drive between clients home, or to drive clients)
  • Current COVID-19 vaccinations and Flu up to date (highly desired)
  • Excellent care and passion working with Senior Australian
