The Role

We are holding a recruitment event to hire multiple permanent part time Personal Care Workers at Dalkeith Gardens residential home. This home has 112 wonderful residents who value your contribution. There are shifts available across AM, PM and Night Duty.

The event will be held on Wednesday 25th February at 10am - 1:30pm at Dalkeith Gardens, 48 Chris Cres, Traralgon VIC 3844. Please apply to register your interest in the event. 

  • Assist residents with daily activities according to their needs and choices
  • Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the Nurse on shift
  • Plan and support residents with social and lifestyle activities within the home
  • Document information including all required charting and progress notes
  • Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy

The role of a PCW is exciting and diverse in our residential aged care homes. Our PCWs provide empathy, support and companionship to our residents through daily living activities, assisting with meal services, providing engaging, inclusive activities and day programs. 

About you

  • Completed or currently studying a Cert III or higher in Individual Support or a related qualification. If you have completed the first year of your nursing studies, and have completed your placements, you will be a qualified Care Worker
  • Experience working in an aged care environment
  • A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
  • A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or ability to obtain
