The Role

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurse to take full responsibility for the management of the afterhours shift at our Heidelberg home! These are night duty shifts only. 

  • Managing and investigating clinical issues, critical incidents and complex care situations
  • Addressing resident or family complaints or concerns
  • Management of the Medication Program including undertaking quality improvement activities such as medication chart audits, staff competencies, and investigation of medication incidents
  • Supporting the care team with the site to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and services through active mentoring and coaching
  • Ensuring required assessments are planning and reviews are undertaken appropriately on shift, and all required documentation individualised and robust
  • Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy

About you

  • Availability on night duty
  • Strong experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), with experience in a residential aged care setting
  • Well-developed clinical skills and leadership capabilities, ability to guide and direct other staff on shift
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or the ability to obtain
  • Excellent customer service manager, and strong communication skills
  • Good judgement and decision-making skills; able to respond quickly to issues and effectively resolve
