The Role

This is a permanent part-time Lifestyle Assistant opportunity for 30hrs per fortnight at our Dalkeith Gardens residential home in Traralgon. This can be worked as 2 x 7.5 hour days across the week, with flexibility to suit the employee. 

Working with a Lifestyle Lead, you will make a difference to the lives of residents, their families, and the staff that help support and care for them. It's a great opportunity to combine a passion for interacting with our older community and utilising your strong administration skills. Some of your duties will include:

  • Coordinate the provision of recreational and social programs that enhance the well-being of our residents
  • Maintain records of recreational and social programs - includes the design, details of resident participation and program evaluation
  • Assist each resident in accordance with the lifestyle plan document
  • Ensure all programs meet both residents’ needs and accreditation standards
  • Engage residents and encouraging them to be part of their local community
  • Assist with meaningful and enriching activities that provide choice to each person

About you

To be successful on this role you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support, Leisure and Lifestyle or similar
  • Empathy and an ability to build strong connections with residents and their loved ones
  • Honesty, helpfulness and dependability – making you a great asset to the team
  • Creativity and experience in coordinating and providing recreational and social programs, ideally in an aged care environment
  • A NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or the ability to obtain
