The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with Benetas’ policies and procedures.
In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider business units, building strong relationships and contributing to continuous improvement across our financial processes. With key responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of invoices, credit notes, and staff reimbursements accurately and efficiently
- Match, code, and verify invoices against purchase orders and receipts
- Prepare and process weekly and ad-hoc payment runs
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders in a professional and customer-focused manner
- Assist with month-end closing activities and accruals
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within Accounts Payable
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role
- Proficiency in DocLink and Epicor systems (or similar ERP platforms)
- Strong Excel skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships across the wider business
- Sound understanding of GST and general accounting principles
- Experience in the aged care or not-for-profit sector is advantageous but not essential
