The Role

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Laundry Assistant to join our residential aged care home.

In this role, you will support the day-to-day laundry operations of the home, ensuring residents’ clothing, linen and laundry items are handled with care, cleaned to a high standard and returned in a timely manner.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing resident clothing and linen
  • Ensuring laundry services are completed safely, efficiently and in line with infection control requirements
  • Handling residents’ personal items respectfully and accurately to minimise loss or mix-ups
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe laundry environment
  • Working collaboratively with the broader site team to support residents’ comfort and daily routines

About you

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous laundry, cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality or aged care experience, highly regarded
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to completing tasks accurately
  • A respectful and caring approach when handling residents’ personal belongings
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work independently
  • Understanding of hygiene, infection control and workplace safety requirements
  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID, or the ability to obtain one
