The Role

We are looking for an experienced Enrolled Nurse to join our Colton Close residential aged care home in Glenroy, home to 89 residents.This is a casual position, offering flexibility across available shifts.

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will:

• Apply clinical skills and up to date knowledge of the aging process to residents within the home
• Be responsive to resident's care through tailoring holistic care to meet individual needs
• Respect and promote dignity, privacy and confidentiality of each resident at all times
• Systematically plan, implement and evaluate care, and oversee accurate and timely documentation 
• Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy

About you

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse, Division 2
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an Enrolled Nurse
• Previous experience in residential aged care is highly regarded
• Strong clinical knowledge and confidence working within your scope of practice
• Experience in areas such as medication administration, wound care, continence management, dementia and behavioural support, infection prevention and clinical documentation
• A sound understanding of the aged care legislative framework and relevant compliance requirements
• The ability to build genuine relationships with residents, families and team members
• A collaborative, respectful and person-centred approach
• Good judgement, accountability and the ability to respond appropriately to changes in residents’ conditions
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or the ability to obtain one
• Availability to work casual shifts, including weekdays, weekends and a range of shift times as required
