About the opportunity

The SES is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead the NSW SES Procurement team and drive strategic procurement and outcomes across the organisation. The role partners closely with stakeholders to plan, source and manage procurements, contracts and supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with NSW Government legislation and procurement frameworks while delivering value for money outcomes.

The position also plays a key role in building procurement capability across NSW SES by supporting staff and volunteers with informed decision making and ensuring all procurement activities are conducted with the highest standards of governance, probity and audit readiness.

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in government related procurement and contract management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of legislative and policy compliance relating to State and/or Federal Government procurement and contract management.
• Demonstrates strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and develop business-focused solutions.
• Extensive stakeholder management experience including senior executives in a government setting.
• Experience in procurement reporting and analysis of procurement data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and/or qualification in a Procurement related and/or government sector.
