About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scheduling Operations Manager to direct and manage the scheduling team in the coordination of our East fleet operations and maintenance. Key Responsibilities: 

• Direct and manage day-to-day operational scheduling for the entire east coast fleet and maintenance operations, ensuring cost efficiencies, safety and achieve the highest level of customer service and operational outcomes
• Closely manage all daily activities to ensure safe and efficient operations in line with customer requirements and relevant legislation.
• Lead and direct the scheduling and monitor the movement of fleet for operational activities, directing and leading staff when required
• Manage, lead and mentor the scheduling team around day to day operations and act as the main point of escalation to handle high level operation enquires and concerns in a timely manner
• Liaise with fleet maintenance for effective scheduling of maintenance and support Branch Operations as needed
• Manage staffing levels and overtime ensuring all company demands are able to be met.

Skills and Experience: 

• Proven experience in the management of fleet operations for a medium-to-large logistics operator.
• Several years in leadership and people management roles within the logistics industry.  
• Effective understanding with a proven track record around CoR, NHVR and Mass Management
• Strong leadership abilities to oversee and guide a team of schedulers, coordinators,  dispatchers, and other personnel as required
• A deep understanding of regulations, compliance, and safety standards
• Familiarity with online booking systems and maintenance scheduling tools, ideally those for managing asset scheduling.
