Position Available: Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

Location: Welshpool Office

About the Role:

We’re seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our dynamic, safety-focused finance team. In this key role, you’ll support the Manager – FP&A by developing advanced financial models and insightful reporting to drive informed decision-making and enhance profitability.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain financial and analytical models to support performance tracking and improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Monitor and report on financial and operational KPIs, including trend and variance analysis, to provide actionable insights.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with Operations, Commercial, and other Business Units.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and contribute to continuous improvement of reporting tools.
  • Provide direct analytical and reporting support to the Manager – FP&A, Group Financial Controller, and CFO, including on ad hoc projects.

Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar FP&A or analytical role; CPA or CA designation preferred.
  • Proven expertise in building and maintaining complex financial and analytical models that deliver meaningful business insights.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to effectively partner with and influence senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Corporate Performance Management (CPM) or Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Jedox and Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to drive change within the organisation.
