Position Available: Trade Assistant

Location: Perth Airport

About the Role:

We’re seeking a reliable and hands-on Trade Assistant to support our busy truck cleaning team. In this role, you’ll work closely with our wash bay staff, helping with day-to-day wash bay duties such as cleaning trucks and heavy vehicle cabin cleaning, and maintaining a safe, organised work environment.

Key Responsibilities: 

• General labouring tasks within a heavy vehicle cleaning environment
• Working a Monday–Friday roster, with some Saturday mornings as required
• Cleaning and preparing heavy vehicle cabins, and work areas.
• Safe handling of heavy vehicle cleaning material and chemicals.
• Record keeping of daily cleaning activities.
• Assisting Transport administrators with housekeeping of compliance document areas.

Skills and Experience: 

• Previous experience in a labouring environment (highly regarded)
• Willingness to learn on the job
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
• HR licence (an advantage but not required)
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and ability to follow instructions
• Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing
