We’re currently expanding our team and looking for a Senior People & Capability Business Partner to join us in delivering quality service to our customers.

Position Available: Senior People & Capability Business Partner

Location: Adelaide (2-3 days per week - job share arrangement)

About the Role:

This role is responsible for the strategic and operational HR Service Delivery across a designated geographical client group.  This client Group will consist of Executive, Senior Leaders and Frontline Managers – encompassing a sizeable “blue-collared” workforce.

Working collaboratively with the Centurion’s Senior Leadership, this role will apply best practice HR knowledge in harmony with developed influencing and communication skills.  Aligning with the HR Strategy, initiatives include the likes of leadership development, talent and succession planning, change management, workforce planning with a significant strategic focus on the full HR life cycle.

The Senior People & Capability Business Partner will be highly agile with all HR transformational change and will undertake regular coaching and mentoring of the Centurion Senior Leadership Teams within their designated client group to influence the continuous improvement of employee engagement and compliance.  Further, this role will work closely with senior People and Capability Leadership team members to assist with the delivery of broader strategic HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive continuous improvement of the HR function through effective influencing and collaborative working relations.
  • Provide support nationally on IR Related matters.
  • Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations and prepare and lodge relevant paperwork.
  • Provide support, counsel and advice to managers regarding complex underperformance, misconduct, disciplinary action and dismissals.
  • End to end management of complex workplace investigations and grievance resolution.
  • Drive process improvements through education and engagement of team.
  • Be a “Change Champion” where it impacts on Employee Engagement, Culture, Process / Systems and Leadership capability.

Skills and Experience: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources and  AHRI Membership (desirable).
  • Previous experience as a HR Business Partner ideally within the transport and logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of National Employment Standards and experience with awards/agreements.
  • Solid experience in employee relations with demonstrated understanding in maintaining procedural fairness and natural justice.
  • and understanding of Fair Work Act and its interactions with Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Ability to lead and mentor HR Advisors, Officers and Administrators.
  • Ability to work highly autonomously and without supervision.
  • Self-starter that is driven in exceeding Company expectations and lead transformational change.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a natural ability to build trusted working relations that enables influence amongst business leaders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to think practically and logically through difficult and complex situations to offer a business focused solution.
