We’re currently expanding our team and are looking for a Nexus Centre Team Lead to join us at our Brisbane Depot and play a key role in delivering efficient, customer-focused service.

Location: Richlands, Queensland

 

About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Nexus Centre Team Lead to supervise and support the day-to-day activities of our Nexus Centre. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Nexus Centre Officers, ensuring efficient service delivery, compliance with service level requirements, and ongoing improvements to processes and technology.

The successful candidate will combine strong leadership with customer service excellence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage operational risks in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the activities and performance of the Nexus Centre throughout shifts, guaranteeing efficient service delivery across all aspects of the business.
  • Monitor resources and demand, proactively identifying, managing, and escalating potential challenges or risks before they escalate into issues.
  • Lead and develop a team of Nexus Centre Officers, fostering individual growth and skill development as needed.
  • Maintain adequate coverage of Nexus Centre Officers daily, including fulfilling Wellness Centre Officer duties during leave or absenteeism as necessary.
  • Promptly escalate critical issues to the Nexus Manager while identifying and mitigating risks to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Ensure team compliance with all service level requirements, consistently meeting and exceeding established standards.
  • Continuously assess and implement improvements to processes, procedures, and technology to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills, ensuring all interactions meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to effectively address challenges and find optimal solutions.
  • Utilize highly developed negotiation skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes in various situations.
  • Communicate effectively through both written and verbal channels, maintaining clarity and professionalism in all communications.
  • Possess advanced computer/system skills to proficiently navigate and utilize relevant software and tools.
  • Display excellent time management skills, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment, fostering positive relationships and effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage previous experience in customer service-based roles to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in the Transport, Logistics, and Supply Chain industry, demonstrating familiarity with industry-specific practices and challenges.

Desirable

  • Experience in the Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain industry.
