About the Role:

We’re searching for a highly experienced Head of Operations to own all facets of operational delivery to a key client.

This is a key leadership role supporting Centurion’s Western Australian operations.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Maintaining a strong relationship with the client through regular interaction and highly effective channels of communication.
• Ensuring appropriate policies, procedures and organisation structures are in place to support client delivery expectations and ensure compliance.
• Implementation and leadership of our Management Operating Systems (MOS) to ensure strong operational cadence and delivery. Ensure KPI’s and deliverables are being met by translating them to meaningful operational activity.
• Provide demonstratable leadership to establish and maintain an inclusive and positive workplace that is psychologically safe for all employees.
• Collaborating with commercial, planning, and customer teams to deliver scalable, operationally viable solutions.
• Monitoring operational performance, identifying trends and risks, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Setting appropriate asset allocation and utilisation measures.
• Managing and monitoring the performance of reporting staff, identifying their training needs, arranging and supervising appropriate training as required.
• Ensuring KPI’s and deliverables are being met by translating them to meaningful operational activity.
• Providing visible safety leadership across Operations, embedding it into planning, asset use, and operational changes.
• Drive a “Think Safe, Act Safe” culture in all operational decisions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• Significant experience in a senior leadership position within an operational environment, preferably transport and logistics.
• Demonstrated success in building, strengthening and maintaining key client relationships.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business or Logistics will be highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and customer-focussed skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated expertise in planning, project management and finance.
• Strategic, analytical, and innovative thinker with high attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business systems.
