As we continue to grow, we are now looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our Townsville operations team.

About the Role

This is a key operational leadership role within our Townsville branch. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day transport operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high service delivery standards.

You will play a critical role in leading drivers, managing resources, and maintaining strong customer relationships, while driving continuous improvement across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture aligned with Centurion’s RIPPA values
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and all regulatory requirements
• Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring delivery performance meets customer KPIs
• Manage customer enquiries and provide timely, accurate quotations
• Monitor operational costs and implement cost control initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors
• Coordinate daily planning and ensure accurate operational data for revenue and cost tracking
• Manage driver rosters, leave planning and workforce allocation
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance feedback to drivers
• Identify training needs and support ongoing development of team members
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
• Maximise utilisation of fleet and company assets

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all HSEQ policies and procedures
• Monitor and manage safety performance and incident reporting
• Implement and maintain Safe Work Procedures (SWPs)
• Actively identify and drive safety improvements

About You

• Proven experience supervising a general freight or transport operation
• Strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and transport regulations
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing large, diverse teams
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Commercial mindset with the ability to manage costs and improve efficiencies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and analytical capability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and transport systems
