The Department of Accounting is inviting applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We invite you to join our collaborative group of accomplished and innovative accounting faculty. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assistant professors support the missions of the department of accounting and the School of Business by conducting research, teaching, and service activities. We welcome applications from candidates across all research and teaching specialty areas. Teaching responsibilities for this position will be primarily in face-to-face classroom settings. 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess a PhD in Accounting or be an accounting doctoral candidate with PhD degree completion expected by August 2027. 
• Excellent oral and written English language skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

• A demonstrated ability to conduct and publish high-quality academic research.
• A demonstrated ability to teach effectively in a higher education setting.
• Professional work experience in an accounting or finance role.

Salary Range: $195,000-215,000
