Position Summary:
The Dean’s Office seeks a highly motivated and qualified Coordinator of International Initiatives.
The coordinator, reporting to the Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Student Success, will manage a broad portfolio focused on global partnership growth both for inbound student recruitment and support, as well as study abroad opportunities for students. The role balances administrative duties, such as managing budgets, coordinating partnership agreements and tracking study abroad funding, with hands-on student support including housing coordination, "concierge" orientation services, and professional workshops. Additionally, the position provides logistical oversight for outbound programs.
Typical Responsibilities:

Partnership Management: Leading communication between VCU Global Education Office, School of Business stakeholders, and identified international partners.

International Student Recruitment: Provide virtual recruitment support specifically for identified international partners.

Agreement Coordination: Facilitate the signing of MOUs and agreements, and oversee the administrative implementation of new partnerships.

Admissions & Enrollment Support: Assist with student funnel management, anticipating enrollment numbers, and communicating directly with prospective students.

Orientation & Student Services: Coordinate specialized orientation sessions and other relevant student services, including the organization of OPT and Work Authorization workshops.

Logistical Coordination: Manage international student housing in coordination with VCU Housing specifically for international partnership students.

Study Abroad Funding: Track and distribute student study abroad funding

Program Execution: Manage logistics for outbound programs School of Business study abroad programs covering housing, transportation, contracts, and event space reservations.

Financial Administration: Create, reconcile, and track budgets for the four specific indices that fall under the International Initiatives umbrella.

Cultural & Special Events: Organize international student events as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications

Experience coordinating projects and initiatives across multiple teams and external stakeholders.

Ability to support outreach, engagement, and relationship-building activities using both virtual and direct communication methods.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, as well as strong organizational skills

Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in international recruitment and admissions.

Experience in facilitating international agreements, and supporting the implementation of new institutional partnerships.

Proficiency in creating, reconciling, and tracking budgets.

Ability to coordinate complex logistics
Salary Range: $52,000 - $58,000

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, and may require periodic weekend and evening hours. This position is eligible for a limited hybrid and flexible work schedule once training is complete and must be coordinated and approved by the supervisor of this role. Hybrid and flexible arrangements may not be possible during campus events or other high student service periods. Primary location is in Richmond, VA.
