Job Purpose:

Provides operational support to the Law School Registrar's Office to ensure effective and efficient delivery of daily duties. Includes exam administration, faculty evaluations, electronic registration and student certifications. Serves as main point of contact for walk-in office traffic while answering questions and offering assistance as required.

Essential Functions:

  • 35% - Software Management - Manage faculty evaluation process. Create, distribute questions; compile results and reports; distribute results. Administer all aspects of exam taking software, including instruction, communication, trouble-shooting, statistical reporting and production and certification of results. Manage academic room scheduling through university's chosen software. Administer electronic registration process. Administer course and curriculum software. Cross-train on website software. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Administrative Support - Perform a wide range of complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and initiative on assignments that are sensitive in nature. Perform complex word processing tasks such as merging and sorting, integrating text and graphics, and helping to generate direct mailings, forms, flyers and other documents. Manage correspondence for department operations, including diplomas. Maintain professional and accurate records including confidential reports and information, both in electronic and written format. Understand and comply with regulations prescribed by the Family Education and Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).Assist in administration of accommodated examinations. Distribute academic forms and provide information on essential dates as set forth in the academic calendar. Update and verify student record information in SIS; update web information. Maintain and order supplies for the office and equipment. Complete, or assist in completion of student and graduate certifications and verifications. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Customer Service - Arrive on time to open and close office for daily operations. Welcome and greet all visitors with pleasant and professional demeanor. Serve as main point of contact for walk-in office traffic while answering questions and offer assistance as required. Respond and proactively assist with inquires in a timely manner. Proactively work to facilitate communication between visitors and employees within the department. Resolve complex and escalated issues. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Data Management - Provide student information as requested by various law school departments. Provide enrollment, scheduling or administrative reports to various offices. Track and maintain bar exam results by graduate, by state and by administration. Provide reports to various offices. Oversee official and unofficial transcript process. - (Essential)

Educational Requirement:

Vocational, Associates, or Technical Degree

Years of Related Experience Requirement:

3 years

In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education.

Ability to coordinate multiple programs, projects, exam administration, and administrative processes while managing competing priorities and exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
Ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and student-related documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and providing excellent customer service.
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), university policies, and professional standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, student information systems, electronic records management systems, and other administrative technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Two or more years experience in higher education
Familiarity with Banner integrated computer system

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $20.85 - $23.45

Pay Range:

Minimum Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 43360

Midpoint Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 54200

Maximum Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 65040

Minimum Salary (Non-Exempt): 20.85

Midpoint Salary (Non-Exempt): 26.05

Maximum Salary (Non-Exempt): 31.26
