Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends.

Appointment Length

Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice.  This is a grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent on the availability of grant and/or university funds.

Hiring Range

$45,000 - $45,000

About this Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

This position will develop and utilize job readiness curriculum, work with business and industries to determine their job demands and assist TANF Clients and Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) family coaches in developing education pathways. Supports innovative programming that grows a technical workforce for the future through career awareness and skill development, particularly in advanced manufacturing and other technological fields. Responsible for multiple college locations in the Northeast region.

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Other combinations of education and relative experience may be considered in lieu of degree.  Degree obtainment may be a condition of employment.
  • Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
  • Minimum of three years working with TANF/OKDHS clients, Oklahoma works/WIOA, and/or Work Ready Programs.
  • Minimum of two years related work experience that can be demonstrated to be applicable to the duties listed in the job description.
  • Experience in job placement, job development and career development.

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

  • Must be able to work effectively with various audiences. 
  • Must possess strong organizational skills as well as a demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.

Communication Skills:

  • Must have strong verbal and persuasive communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver oral presentations and written materials for a variety of audiences and multiple venues.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively recognize and resolve conflict.
