Hiring Range

$14.25 - $18.25

About this Position

Delivers and retrieves used durable medical equipment (DME)/assistive technology (AT) statewide to individuals with disabilities. Delivers, assembles, and provides demonstrations and training on the proper use and maintenance of equipment to individuals and families. Coordinates and maintains delivery route and schedule to maintain a 40-hour work week, assists with warehouse duties, as well as ensures proper maintenance of motor pool vehicle. All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School/GED
  • Two years of work experience.  Experience in durable medical equipment (DME) repair.  Experience in how to operate DME and ability to teach/demonstrate to others how to operate.

  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

    Valid driver's license.  Clear driving record with no travel or accident record for at least 2 years

  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

    Understanding of mechanical and electronic components of durable medical equipment (DME) . Experience working with individuals with a broad range of disabilities and/or functional limitations with specialized knowledge of durable medical equipment. This individual will possess strong oral and written communication skills necessary to interact with individuals with disabilities, state agency personnel, DME contracted vendors, disability related organizations staff, family members, as well as with programmatic partners. Experience with various Microsoft Office software and inventory management systems. Must have the ability to problem solve independently and comfortable with driving daily and statewide, as this position is on the road 30+ hours per week.  All other duties as assigned. Able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate mechanical equipment, climb high ladders. Able to drive, load, unload van safely, operate van lift, equipment dolly, and maintain a 6-8 hours daily schedule of driving statewide.
