About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The College Connection Coordinator is responsible for providing essential support for applicants, admissions counselors, and high schools in creating, implementing, and managing robust pathways leading to degree completion with OSU Institute of Technology concurrent enrollment/early college partnerships.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Other combinations of education and relative experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
- Minimum of two to three years of progressively responsible work experience, preferably in academic advising, college admissions or related higher education field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and/or customer service-rich environment.
- Experience related to customer relationship management software, Technolutions Slate, preferred.
- Experience related to student information system software, Ellucian Banner, preferred.
- Experience related to learning management system software, Canvas by Instructure, preferred.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, and adaptable to performing under moderate levels of stress imposed by deadlines, peak workload, public/student contact.
- High degree of integrity; ability to work in a sensitive, highly confidential, and professional environment.
- Skilled in the use of analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret and comprehend policies and apply knowledge to render accurate decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
- Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and CRM systems.
- Accurate typing/data entry skills and demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exhibit problem-solving skills beyond a set of instructions and adapt to changes when necessary; make appropriate recommendations based on logical and justifiable reasoning.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Displays a passion for assisting customers and representing OSUIT and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
- Demonstrated a history of ethical and professional behavior.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent listening skills and customer responsiveness are essential, continually incorporating feedback, ideas and requests.
- Experience and confidence in speaking in front of students, coworkers, and faculty.
