About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Facilities and eSports Assistant is charged with assisting in the supervision of evening Covelle Hall student workers, and eSports Arena student workers, and/or the physical performance of said duties in the absence of evening workers.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Proven history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
- Two years’ responsible health/wellness and/or gaming-related work experience.
- Knowledge of the realm of eSports, including knowledge on multiple platforms, eSports event functions, and gaming culture.
Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license will be required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle.
- CPR preferred.

- Must be able to interact comfortably and effectively with a diverse client population.

- Should be able to quickly grasp and apply training in learning new skills and methods.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, recommend and implement solutions in a timely fashion.
- Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, project management, electronic communications, Discord and other gaming platforms, and an understanding of web technologies.
- Proven organizational skills, be neat in appearance, the ability to communicate with distinction both orally and in writing.
- Must be flexible, innovative and self-motivated.
Communication Skills:
- Strong written and oral communications skills required.
- Excellent listening, customer service and problem solving skills are essential, continually incorporating feedback, ideas and requests.
