Position Introduction:

The Greeter and Sales Floor Assistant is Federal Work Study position that serves as the first point of contact for customers by creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience. This position assists customers with locating merchandise, answering basic questions, maintaining an organized sales floor, and supporting daily retail operations. The ideal candidate is friendly, approachable, dependable, and enjoys interacting with people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers as they enter the store and provide friendly, professional customer service.
  • Assist customers in locating products and answering general questions.
  • Direct customers to appropriate staff members for specialized assistance when needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
  • Restock merchandise and straighten displays throughout the day.
  • Monitor fitting rooms, merchandise displays, and customer areas as assigned.
  • Assist with promotional displays, seasonal merchandise, and store presentations.
  • Support inventory organization and light stocking duties.
  • Assist with basic housekeeping tasks to maintain an inviting shopping environment.
  • Help with customer purchases, bagging, or other front-end support as needed.
  • Perform other retail and customer service duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
  • Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
