Research Technician Oklahoma City
The laboratory of Dr. Proshlyakov in the in the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology is looking for an engineering and microfabrication Technician to support and operate mitochondrial development maker space. This facility located in the Biomedical Sciences Building hosts a range of instruments, including industrial grade filament and polyjet printers, gantry CNC, micro-mill plotter, precision waterjet, laser cutter etc. Basic requirements include the ability to interpret CAD design, maintain and operate machinery, assemble and service custom instruments, follow advanced post-printing treatment protocols, understanding fluidic and pneumatic controls, basic programming skills, sensors and computer peripherals communications, safety and electronic journaling compliance. Responsibilities will include both following existing protocols and supervised development of new techniques. Solid communication and collaborative skills are required as the candidate will be expected to interact with biomedical researchers in the fields of cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, spectroscopy, and microscopy, including technical support in collaborative studies.
