| Provides support for OU special events and experiences, including ribbon cuttings, graduation ceremonies, tailgates, receptions, luncheons, dinners, lecture series, and other events. This position will work around the student's class schedule but work hours may vary from nights and weekends.
Required skills/job description and duties:
Assist in organizing guest lists and attending list.
Assist with organization of event support materials.
Prepare nametags and other event materials.
Pack/unpack event supplies and equipment.
Assist with event set up and tear down on-site, as needed.
Answer event-related phone calls and emails.
Additional Responsibilities:
General office and customer service skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team player.

| The laboratory of Dr. Proshlyakov in the in the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology is looking for an engineering and microfabrication Technician to support and operate mitochondrial development maker space. This facility located in the Biomedical Sciences Building hosts a range of instruments, including industrial grade filament and polyjet printers, gantry CNC, micro-mill plotter, precision waterjet, laser cutter etc. Basic requirements include the ability to interpret CAD design, maintain and operate machinery, assemble and service custom instruments, follow advanced post-printing treatment protocols, understanding fluidic and pneumatic controls, basic programming skills, sensors and computer peripherals communications, safety and electronic journaling compliance. Responsibilities will include both following existing protocols and supervised development of new techniques. Solid communication and collaborative skills are required as the candidate will be expected to interact with biomedical researchers in the fields of cell culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, spectroscopy, and microscopy, including technical support in collaborative studies. |
