NSO Orientation Intern (Summer) Norman
Orientation Interns play an essential role in creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive Orientation Day experience. Interns serve as guides and points of connection for new students and their families, helping them navigate campus, move between required sessions, and feel confident throughout the day. In addition to supporting students directly, Orientation Interns assist with the logistics and execution of NSO, including set-up, check-in, and day-of operations to ensure each Orientation Day runs smoothly.
Spanish-Speaking Orientation Intern (Summer) Norman
New Sooner Orientation (NSO) is a key part of every new student's successful transition to OU. Incoming freshman and transfer students will attend NSO days on campus with their parents/guardians/supporters for a full day program where they will be advised, enroll in courses, and hear from various offices on campus to learn about resources students will need throughout their time at OU. The Spanish Language Support Orientation Intern serves as a primary presenter and translator for Spanish-speaking families during New Sooner Orientation. This role is responsible for delivering Orientation content in Spanish, ensuring families receive clear, accurate, and welcoming information throughout their experience. Working closely with the New Sooner Orientation team and the Office of Parent and Family Programs, this position will actively translate and adapt presentation materials, deliver full presentations in Spanish during Supporter Orientation Sessions, and provide real-time interpretation for families as needed. This is a highly visible role that requires strong communication skills, confidence in public speaking, and the ability to engage and support families in a professional and welcoming manner.
Group Tour Guide (Summer) Norman
The Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) works to bring in the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state, nation and world. We provide support to incoming domestic and international freshman transfer, and high school concurrent students as they navigate the college application and decision process.
Student Facility Attendant (Summer) Norman
Fitness and Recreation strive to help all student employees develop their career readiness upon graduation. Student Employees are applying academic learning by developing workforce competencies, per The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) guidelines. The Facility Attendant is responsible for monitoring the facility floor of the Sarkeys Fitness Center during operational hours. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, addressing member concerns, ensuring policies are followed, cleaning duties and responding to emergency situations. Facility Attendants may cross-train in other divisions of Fitness and Recreation to work shifts as needed, secondary to meeting the needs of the Facility and any other duties as assigned.
