| This position is responsible for supervising, training and evaluating assigned personnel. They will determine work priorities, plan schedules, assign and review work.Prepares food following recipes and applying individual portion control standards. Properly and safely measures, weighs and combines ingredients for quantity preparation of simple menu items. Utilizes various kitchen utensils, appliances, and heavy/industrial equipment in food preparation (ovens, knives, peelers, dicers, slicers, mixers, industrial dish machines, recycling, stoves, etc.). Serves food in a courteous and respectful manner, with proper portion control and knowledge of menu items. Load, carry, and transport hot or cold food items or containers to customers, serving lines, or dining tables-safely, efficiently and timely. Loads and transports food carts to and from designated floor units. Washes, sanitizes, and stores pots, pans and kitchen utensils in designated areas. Scrapes dishes and cleans tables, serving areas. Cleans counters and floors. Follows proper kitchen standards when cleaning/sanitizing the work area (floors, food carts, cabinets, tables, kitchen utensils and equipment, dishes, and tableware, etc.). Assists with special events across the University and across campuses that may include Presidential luncheons and dinners, catering needs, student organizational special requests, and day-to-day events. Assists other food services staff when necessary and voluntarily as much as possible. The functions described here are not all-encompassing of those an employee may encounter while on the job.
***Normally, employees on a 5-hour shift receive a free meal. Uniforms are provided at no cost but must be maintained by the employee.*** |

Student Facility Attendant (Summer)

| Fitness and Recreation strive to help all student employees develop their career readiness upon graduation. Student Employees are applying academic learning by developing workforce competencies, per The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) guidelines. The Facility Attendant is responsible for monitoring the facility floor of the Sarkeys Fitness Center during operational hours. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, addressing member concerns, ensuring policies are followed, cleaning duties and responding to emergency situations. Facility Attendants may cross-train in other divisions of Fitness and Recreation to work shifts as needed, secondary to meeting the needs of the Facility and any other duties as assigned. |

| Under general supervision, provides administrative support to a state or national level sponsored grant or contract program by coordinating the program activities, attending meetings, preparing reports, recruiting for the program, analyzing data, prioritizing tasks, preparing grants, distributing information, and performing accounting duties for the program.
Coordinates various aspects of the grant/contract program to include but not limited to meetings, sponsorship, recruitment, and services.
Attends meetings and may act as the facilitator.
Prepares numerous reports on status of the grant or contract, resources needed, and future goals.
Recruits members for committees and assistance with the program.
Performs analyses to determine needed services, funds, and volunteers.
Prioritizes duties from needs assessment data or other resources.
Makes adjustments in order to meet goals.
Assists in the preparation of grants or contracts and ensures accuracy.
Collaborates with the Office of Research Administration, Principal Investigators, and other personnel.
Distributes information to staff and others.
Answers questions about the grant or contract and the progress of the grant/contract.
Prepares the grant/contract budget. Reconciles accounts, purchases with ProCard, and enters and approves vouchers.
Responsible for appropriating funds for salaries and other grant/contract expenses.
May assist with supervising support personnel including other exempt employees including Program or Project Coordinators.
Assists with selecting, training, delegating tasks, and conducting performance appraisals.
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position. |
