We are seeking a student academic data and research assistant to join our athletic academic department. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail-oriented, and skilled in developing and maintaining workplace relationships and confidentiality. Data and Research Assistant Skills Job Responsibilities: The following list of day-to-day job responsibilities may differ significantly depending on our department need. Provides support to ensure efficient office operations. Maintains physical and digital filing systems. Works with IT staff to ensure all computers in the computer labs are working properly Inputs and updates information in databases and spreadsheets. Prepares meeting agendas and takes meeting minutes. Uses word processing and presentation software to create and edit documents. Operates office equipment, including printers, scanners, and copy machine. Works closely with other academic staff and supports as needed. Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations. Ensures that deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities. Presents a positive and professional image for the department.
Student Host Producer (Fall) Norman
KGOU public radio is looking for a Student Host/Producer to help us inform our diverse audience and produce engaging stories about the people who live here. KGOU has a strong tradition of local, state, and regional news coverage with an emphasis on compelling storytelling. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical, real-world announcing, reporting, and producing experience at the University of Oklahoma’s award-winning NPR member station. KGOU seeks a talented and dedicated student with an insatiable curiosity, a keen ability to identify and communicate meaningful stories, a warm, conversational delivery and strong audio production skills. Responsibilities include writing and announcing news, audio production, posting stories for web, producing community events calendar announcements and other operational duties as needed.
Student Office Assistant (Fall) Norman
Office Assistants (OAs) provide front desk reception and student services at the Student Learning Center's locations, including Lissa and Cy Wagner Hall, the Cross Learning Center (Cross Village A), and various sites across campus. OA duties include: Student check-in and check-out Checking resources in and out Answering questions about SLC programs Managing phone duties and session coordination Maintaining clean, organized spaces and handling equipment setup and storage OAs are required to attend the following training sessions at the start of each semester: New Member Onboarding / Basic Training — Prior to the start of classes (scheduled based on student availability) Monthly Training Conference — Once per month on the last Friday (date TBA) OAs create a welcoming, inviting atmosphere across all center locations and online sessions. They also play an integral role in data collection, tracking every student's visit and performing accurate data entry and corrections in iAdvise.
(Revised) Athletics Graduate Assistants (Fall 2026) Norman
The purpose of the Athletics Graduate Assistant program is to support promising individuals who are committed to a career in intercollegiate athletics and to continuing their education at the graduate level. The graduate assistant appointments include: a full waiver of graduate tuition (student is responsible for paying associated fees), a bi-weekly stipend, health insurance coverage and other benefits provided to athletics department employees (benefits vary but may include complimentary admission to athletic events). Graduate Assistants are required to work an average of 20 hours per week during the academic year. Hours required may vary by assigned area. Duties will vary with area of assignment. This listing is a rolling listing that will stay open through Summer 2026. Hiring managers will pull applicants from the pool as positions become available. Sports Nutrition Student Assistant (Summer) Norman
Assist staff and Sports Dietitians with daily duties and on-going projects for optimal fueling of the Oklahoma Sooner student-athletes Assist in managing fueling stations, including transporting and stocking, inventory of nutritional products regularly Assist in weekly ordering of sport-specific fueling stations Train other interns on the guidelines, protocols of OU Sports Nutrition Create educational handouts and additional signage as deemed necessary by Sports Dietitians Facilitate in the preparation and delivery of nutritional supplements, food, and fueling station food items for student athletes Sport assignments or game day operations as needed Other duties as assigned by staff Sports Dietitians Seeking students who can commit to 20 hours per week for a full year.
