The team 

Reporting to the Manager Technical Services, Animal and Veterinary Sciences, this role sits within the Specialist Facilities and Technical Services team in the College of Science. The team provides critical technical support across practical teaching, research and operational environments, including animal handling and technical service delivery.

Experience 

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience: 

  • Demonstrated experience working safely and effectively with large animals or within large‑animal facilities, including animal handling, facility operations, or support of teaching and/or clinical activities within a regulated animal ethics and biosecurity environment.
  • Experience supporting laboratory‑based and/or practical teaching activities, including preparation and operational support for classes, practicals or demonstrations.
  • Experience applying laboratory and/or animal‑facility safety procedures, risk controls, and standard operating procedures in regulated environments.
  • Experience preparing, handling or managing laboratory, animal‑facility, or teaching materials, reagents, equipment or consumables.
  • Experience maintaining technical records, inventories, animal‑facility documentation or laboratory records.
