• Salary Range: Level C, $142,789 - $164,207 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

Work that matters 

We are looking for Senior Nursing academics with a demonstrated record of excellence in research, scholarship, teaching, and clinical practise.

The Senior Lecturer is responsible for the development, delivery and coordination of courses within undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs and will make a significant contribution to research and HDR supervision within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

You will make distinguished contributions to School of Nursing and Midwifery teaching and learning strategy and research development in the discipline of Nursing. The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support Adelaide University’s teaching and research outcomes and to carry out activities to maintain and develop their research and professional growth.

Experience 

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will have the following qualifications, knowledge, skills and expertise: 

• Bachelor of Nursing and a and Doctoral degree (PhD) qualification in a relevant health discipline
• Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Demonstrated expertise, knowledge and a commitment to contemporary nursing practice
• Demonstrated academic experience, teaching students engaged in undergraduate, preregistration and postgraduate Nursing programs
• Demonstrated academic leadership ability and experience in curriculum development, course design and course writing that is academically relevant and reflects pedagogical, student and professional needs and standards
• Demonstrated establishment of a portfolio of research that enhances the profile of Nursing and the College of Health, through research, independent and/or as a team member, that results in securing competitive funding, publications in refereed journals and/or quality NTROs
• Demonstrated experience supervising course work and higher degree by research (PhD) candidates to timely completion
• Demonstrated experience in the administration of university academic courses and the ability to interpret and apply university policy and procedures including external program accreditation requirements
• Well-developed interpersonal communication skills and the ability to positively contribute to the workplace as a part of an academic program team and with relevant stakeholders (including students, industry, government, university and community groups)
