• Salary Range: Level B, $117,100 - $138,515 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

Work that matters 

We are seeking a passionate midwifery academic with contemporary clinical expertise and a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship and student learning.

The position is responsible for coordination, administration and delivery of midwifery led teaching activities in the simulated health environment supporting undergraduate and postgraduate Midwifery programs. In association with Program Directors and Course Coordinators you will plan, develop, and deliver teaching and assessment activities within the simulation environment at Adelaide East, Whyalla and Mount Gambier campuses.

You will also contribute to the School's portfolio of research and scholarship through collaborative research activities, scholarly outputs and engagement with industry and the broader health sector.

You will make distinguished contributions to School of Nursing and Midwifery’s teaching and learning strategy and research and scholarship portfolio in the discipline of Midwifery. The position will contribute independently and as part of a team to support Adelaide University’s teaching and research outcomes.

Experience 

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and expertise: 

• Bachelor of Midwifery, Masters degree and Doctoral degree (PhD) qualification in Midwifery or a relevant health discipline
• Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
• A demonstrated commitment to contemporary midwifery practise, senior midwifery practice and academic leadership experience
• Ability to undertake a range of clinical and teaching activities including contributing to the preparation of appropriate clinical teaching materials, assessment items and learning resources
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to use simulation and digital technologies required for effective delivery of clinical teaching in a simulated environment
• Ability to deliver clinical teaching and learning experiences that demonstrate inclusivity, diversity, and cultural sensitivity
• A demonstrated commitment to clinical teaching, lifelong learning, continued professional and personal development
