• Based at the Adelaide University Rural Health, Whyalla, Port Lincoln, Mt Barker or Mt Gambier campus
• Full-time (1.0 FTE), fixed-term contract for 12 months with the possibility of extension
• Salary Range: $142,789 - $164,207 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
• Lead rural health research, evaluation and capacity building

The team

Reporting to the Head of Rural Research, you will join Adelaide University Rural Health's multidisciplinary research team, contributing to a collaborative program of rural health research, evaluation and capacity building that supports rural communities, health services and educators across South Australia.

Experience

To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:

• A PhD in health services research, implementation science, public health, epidemiology, medical/health professional education, or another relevant discipline with demonstrated expertise in applied health research.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent, high-quality research using quantitative and qualitative methodologies, including mixed-methods and/or program evaluation approaches.
• Demonstrated experience in the evaluation of health, workforce, education and/or service delivery initiatives, including data analysis, interpretation and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to support and build research capacity among clinicians, students, health professionals and/or community partners, including mentoring or supervision activities.
• Demonstrated experience in research project coordination and stakeholder engagement, including the ability to work collaboratively with rural health services, clinicians, students, Aboriginal communities and external partners.
• Evidence of an established track record of peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations and scholarly dissemination relative to opportunity.
