We are seeking casual Student Service Officer’s to help create a welcoming, inclusive and connected residential community. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your customer service experience, strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a dynamic, student focused environment.
Work that matters
The Student Service Officer forms part of the 24/7 operational team in the Accommodation Services team at the Adelaide University Village. The position promotes and supports social events to foster a strong sense of community within the University managed student accommodation facility and ensures a safe and secure environment for residents.
In addition to an outstanding service orientated approach to student interaction and a strong set of administrative skills, this position requires a broad understanding of hospitality based operational tasks in an accommodation environment.
Please note that while this role is primarily based at the Village, you may be allocated to other locations across the University student accommodation portfolio from time to time.
Core Responsibilities:
- Providing accurate accommodation advice and information to prospective and current students
- Supporting students through omni-channel services including phone, face-to-face, email, online, and social media
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accommodation options and related services.
- Coordinating social events and inspections across the portfolio
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Contributing to the development and implementation of business improvements aimed at enhancing the student experience
- Assisting with the maintenance and improvement of accommodation service facilities.
- This role is very hands with minimal administration work
Experience:
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
- Experience maintaining organised and up-to-date documentation and records
- StarRez rooms management system
- Experience working in accommodation / student accommodation environment
- Frontline customer service experience, within the hospitality industry
- Demonstrated competency in using Microsoft Suite
- Experience in the provision of accommodation services
Requirements:
- This role will require the successful candidate to hold a current Working with Children Check
- Availability to be rostered on evenings and weekend shifts
