Under the general supervision of Director of Sexual Assault Support & Advocacy Services, the Rape Crisis Specialist assists with the administration and provision of services for the daily operations of 24-hour comprehensive services for victims/survivors and the family and friends of victims/survivors of sexual and relationship violence. The incumbent will participate in violence prevention efforts and education to meet grant, program, and departmental goals. This is a grant-funded position, with reappointment dependent on grant renewal and funding availability.

Post Doctoral Res Assoc - BioPhysics Amherst
The Debold Muscle Biophysics Lab is seeking talented applicants for a full-time, Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Kinesiology Department as part of a five-year grant from the NIH to study the molecular mechanisms underlying muscle contraction, intracellular transport, and the formation of complex cellular structures. The goal of this work is to understand how the load-dependent proteins of the molecular motor myosin enable it to perform complex cellular processes when working as a team of motors. We are searching for a highly motivated single molecular biophysicist familiar with the laser trap and in vitro motility assays. These skills will be used to characterize the single molecule and mini-ensemble properties of three different classes of myosin: muscle myosin II, myosin III and myosin V. The goal of this project is to understand how the single molecule properties of these myosin's give rise to the complex behavior they demonstrate in multi-motor teams.

Audio Visual (AV) Technician II Amherst
Under the supervision of the Manager of Media Technology Services (MTS), the Audio Visual (AV) Technician II is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance of the distance learning and video conferencing systems installed in classrooms and auditoria across the UMass campus. These systems support multimodal courses that can be offered face-to-face, online, or in a mixed format, and can have synchronous or asynchronous components.  The individual in this position will provide set up and technical support of the audio-visual equipment in teaching spaces across the campus as well as for university sponsored events. Additionally, the AV Technician II will provide training to faculty and staff on the usage of the audio-visual and video conferencing equipment.
