What the Role Involves

As a Police Recruit, you'll complete the world-renowned NSW Police Academy training program at Goulburn before attesting as a Probationary Constable and being deployed to a command across New South Wales. From day one in the field, you'll be doing work that genuinely matters:

  • Ability to meet NSW Police Force medical, psychological, and fitness standards
  • A genuine commitment to public service and the values of NSW Police Force

Why NSW Police Force

NSW Police Force offers a career with genuine depth and variety — no two days, commands, or communities are the same. You'll receive fully paid training at the NSW Police Academy, a competitive salary from the moment you enlist, and a structured pathway from Recruit through to Probationary Constable and beyond. Generous leave entitlements, a defined-benefit superannuation scheme, and access to employee assistance programs reflect an organisation that takes the wellbeing of its people seriously. Deployment is statewide, meaning you'll build skills and connections across metropolitan, regional, and remote New South Wales throughout your career.
