• Serve as key resource to the land department, technical teams and management on Onshore EP oil & gas leases, minerals and EP contracts.
• Assist Supervisor and Manager with training less experienced staff to analyse and interpret basic, intermediate complex EP leases and contracts to accurately set up payment and obligation records for all properties within the geographical area assigned.
• Analyse and interpret intermediate to complex lease, mineral ownerships, EP contracts and title documents to calculate and pay obligations including shut-ins, along with other non payment related obligations to ensure preservation of the asset.
• Independently set up and maintain lease and EP contract obligation records to ensure rental payments made to private, corporate, and government mineral owners are in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and contracts.
• Learn and refresh knowledge on applicable laws, statutes and industry standards related to leasing, contracts and mineral ownership in the geographical area assigned.
• Internally interface to build and maintain effective working relationships with Land and Technical Asset/Organization and other functional departments regarding lease set up and asset maintenance issues. Externally interface with mineral owners, partners, government agencies and industry associations regarding EP contract, minerals and lease issues.
• Recognize and develop solutions for non-routine issues, including operated and non-operated ventures, analyse and work on 3rd party and forced pooled interests.
• Stay current with land systems technology and use to improve Land systems and work process to increase productivity and reduce land related operating costs.
• Contribute to evaluation and constant improvement of key work processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
