Investments & Value Management is a team of valuation experts that defines the approach to value management for BHP Billiton.  This provides a unique position for exposure to an extensive range of material valuation challenges across a full commodity suite. We are also responsible for the development of group-wide valuation methodologies, facilitating organisational valuation capability development, and the determination of key valuation parameters.

We are currently seeking a future valuation leader to join our team in a development role.  This will lead to a valuation leadership role in a commodity business through exposure to a broad range of commodities, geographies, and the investment pipeline.  You will take the lead on evaluations, and decision analysis; conduct peer review work to ensure all key issues have been addressed; collaborate with internal and external experts; and prepare and deliver objective presentations, reports and submissions to executive management.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified, preferably in a technical discipline such as engineering or geoscience, with demonstrated strength in undertaking business analysis and providing value-adding insight.  Your career history also testifies to your high level of integrity, and your ability to synthesise large amounts of complex information. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and economic analysis as well as an understanding of corporate finance concepts and its application to the resources industry are an advantage. You will have an ability to quickly build business rapport and trust. Postgraduate qualifications in business (such as a MBA) will be highly regarded.
