This role is an exceptional platform for a strategic thinker and collaborative individual to develop their career with BHP Billiton Iron Ore (BHPBIO). In supporting the rolling 24 month integrated production plan for Western Australian Iron Ore (WAIO) Operations, the Operational Planning Analyst will gain a broad knowledge of WAIO's operations, and the necessary business context for future roles within WAIO.

Reporting to the Superintendent Operational Planning, you will work with Mine, Port and Rail Operations to develop production plans that maximise EBIT for WAIO without compromising business value or reputation. You will analyse operational performance to understand and identify production risks and opportunities in the Supply Chain.

Operating as a member of the Integrated Planning team, it will be critical to gain business ownership and engagement in the Integrated Planning process through establishing credibility and building constructive relationships across the entire supply chain.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Work with Mine, Port & Rail Operations to reach agreement on production capability assumptions for input in WAIO's 24 month rolling operational plan (the 'One Plan');
• Identify and prioritise capability performance gaps to focus business improvement activities;
• Communicate the 'One Plan' context to Mine, Port & Rail operational leadership and their teams, so that stakeholders understand what changes are being implemented, why, and the impacts of those changes;
• Develop production options that maximise EBIT for WAIO without compromising business value or reputation (product delivery & quality) and develop contingencies to manage risk;
• Develop plan ownership such that Business values the Plan and are committed to achieving plan outcomes; and
• Analysing system performance, identification of system constraints and related improvement opportunities.
