Right now, we’re seeking multiple Business Analyst - Data Consultants who will play their part in this shared purpose. About the role 

The Business Analyst - Data Consultant is responsible for performing business analysis, data analysis and relationship management using the available data to improve business efficiency, productivity, and performance.

The Business Analyst - Data Consultant is responsible for working closely with key stakeholders to understand business need and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.  They analyse current processes, identify areas for improvement and help design solutions that align with strategic goals and deliverables.  This involves gathering and documenting requirements, facilitating workshops and ensuring that all stakeholders have a shared understanding of the desired outcomes and deliverables.

In addition, Business Analyst – Data Consultants work closely with cross-functional squads to support product development by collaborating with technical stakeholders to ensure all solutions align with business expectations. This role is also responsible for generating meaningful data insights and analytics to inform decision-making, enhance the TAC’s service delivery, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

About the Team

The Product and Portfolio Team, within the Performance Insights and Analytics branch are Agile, high performing, collaborative and supportive. You will be supported by a manager who values your contribution, and champions you to achieve personal and business goals. 

 

What we’re looking for 

 

Demonstrated technical knowledge

Proven ability to interpret and translate complex technical documentation—including data models, solution architecture, and functional/non-functional requirements—into clear, actionable insights. Demonstrated expertise in facilitating solution design discussions between technical specialists and business stakeholders within an Agile DevOps environment, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical delivery.

 

Proven Leader

Proven experience in a role that encompasses a coaching and leadership element to:

 

  • contribute to a positive high performing collaborative culture which collectively celebrate achievements
  • contribute to a growth mindset viewing challenges as opportunities to learn
  • ensure that your business and system knowledge is transferred to other Business Analysts and relevant stakeholders

 

Stakeholder Engagement

An ability to create strong working relationships with appropriate key business resources to ensure that a broad cross-section of opinion and experience is available.
