Right now, we’re seeking a Project Manager, Road User Safety who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. About the role

In this exciting role, the Project Manager, Road User Safety will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and evaluating strategic road safety initiatives for the TAC. It involves managing complex projects, applying behavioural science and utilising critical thinking. Collaborating with stakeholders across local government and research sectors, you will drive impactful solutions for road safety, with a commitment to continuous improvement in line with our overall purpose of keeping everyone safe on Victorian roads.

 

About the Team

You will join the passionate and engaged Road Safety Division, an expert team committed to learning, sharing knowledge, and collaborating to deliver meaningful outcomes. Supported by the Manager, Road User Safety you’ll have the autonomy to own your work, with guidance and development opportunities to help you meet expectations, achieve goals, and grow your individual capabilities.

 

What we’re looking for

Road Safety Expertise

This role requires a strong foundation of experience with road safety issues, and a deep understanding of road safety principles. A tertiary qualification in relevant health or behavioural discipline is highly desirable.

Stakeholder Engagement

Represent TAC in high-level forums, providing expert advice and fostering strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and government officials. You’ll ensure road safety programs are effectively communicated, implemented, and continuously improved.

Strategic Data Analysis & Project Management Ability

Advanced data analysis skills, ideally with road safety dataset, along with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations. Strong project management experience is also required, demonstrating prioritisation, planning and organisational capabilities.
