Employing approximately 370 staff across a substantial multi-site footprint, the organisation fosters a collaborative and values-driven culture focused on performance, accountability, and innovation. With company is gearing for strong growth, they have identified a need for an experienced technology executive in the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO), to play a pivotal role in leading the company’s ICT strategy and implementation.

About the role:

This outstanding opportunity exists for an accomplished and commercially minded CIO to join a growing organisation in a key executive leadership capacity. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CIO will lead the organisation’s enterprise-wide technology strategy, ICT operations, governance, cyber security, and digital transformation agenda. This role will play a critical part in enabling operational performance, supporting long-term growth, and ensuring technology capability aligns with broader business objectives.

Leading a dedicated ICT team of eight, this position requires a strategic minded, hands-on technology executive who can balance innovation with operational stability, while fostering a high-performance culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the organisation’s ICT strategy and technology roadmap aligned with business objectives;
  • Provide strategic technology advice to the CEO and executive leadership team;
  • Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation and technology modernisation initiatives;
  • Oversee ICT governance, cyber security, risk management, business continuity, and compliance frameworks;
  • Manage ICT operating and capital budgets, investment prioritisation, and vendor relationships;
  • Ensure reliable, scalable, and secure ICT infrastructure and operational systems;
  • Drive data governance, analytics capability, and technology-enabled decision making;
  • Lead and develop a high-performing ICT team focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement;
  • Identify emerging technologies and innovation opportunities to support operational and commercial outcomes;
  • Partner with business leaders to deliver practical and commercially effective technology solutions.

About You:

  • 10 years+ Proven experience in a senior ICT leadership role such as CIO, Head of IT, ICT Manager, or equivalent;
  • Demonstrated capability in developing and implementing enterprise-wide ICT strategies;
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale ICT transformation and systems implementation projects;
  • Experience operating within complex, multi-site, or operationally intensive environments;
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing ICT budgets, vendors, and investment outcomes;
  • Deep understanding of ICT governance, cyber security, enterprise architecture, and risk management frameworks;
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and executive influencing capability;
  • A collaborative leadership style with experience building high-performing teams;
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capability;
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in ICT or minimum 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree qualification.

  • Competitive base salary between $230,000 – $250,000 plus superannuation.
