About the role:
This role is responsible for managing Suncorp Bank’s AML/CTF obligations across the Bank’s 1st Line of Defense. The role will support all products areas across the Bank in understanding and executing upon their AML/CTF obligations.
What you’ll do:
- Engage with relevant business areas to drive the implementation and uplift in AML/CTF processes across the Bank
- Provide compliance advice in relation to end to end AML/CTF obligations across the Bank to support the operationalisation of Suncorp’s AML/CTF Program and associated Standards and Procedures.
- Maintain oversight over new AUSTRAC requirements to ensure ongoing compliance
- Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards to support AML/CTF activities
- Identify new / emerging risks and regulatory change impacting the business
- Support the business to manage risk profiles relevant to AML/CTF obligations, risks and controls
- Assist with complex queries, including escalation decisions
- Support and guide 1st LoD Compliance team members and identify any coaching and training opportunities
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum 7 years of compliance experience, with a preference for expertise in AML/CTF compliance and risk
- Demonstrated sound understanding of the financial services industry and the regulatory environment
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship building and impactful presentation skills to inform or influence specific audiences
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset
- Ideally hold a tertiary qualification in Financial Crime, Law or related discipline
- ACAMS certification is strongly preferred
