We are currently looking for a Leader of Portfolio Analytics to join our Performance and Analytics Team. This role will provide leadership in all aspects of Portfolio analysis, to enable Suncorp NZ to deliver market leading portfolio outcomes. This includes contributing to effective decision making (including pricing), business plans and key initiatives across our general insurance portfolios.
To be successful in your new role you will need to:
- Lead and drive the continuous development of Insurance Solutions portfolio analysis capability including finding and communicating insights, data structures, data quality, pricing models, rating engines, processes and rating data quality.
- Coach and mentor analysts, including reviewing, and supporting their work and recommendations.
- Identify and implement innovative improvements to solutions that drive continuous improvement.
- Support and contribute to pricing decisions, portfolio management and provide commercially astute recommendations.
- Provide commercially astute analytical driven insights and recommendations to support decision making, data maturity uplift and present to required stakeholders. This includes using judgement in the translation of performance metrics into actionable strategies to lift service and performance
- Adhere to data governance frameworks, management controls, processes and practices and proactively contribute to their development and improvement.
- Identify improvements to work practices and support changes that enhance the quality and professionalism of BI services.
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years recent experience in insurance/analytics/pricing - Mandatory
- Experience of managing projects and leading project related delivery, requirements, and analysis
- Experience in managing senior management and stakeholders
- Strong technical competence with tools and analytic techniques required
- Multi-functional business and process knowledge
