Chapter Lead - DevOps

About the role

As the Lead of Insurance Technology DevOps Chapter, you will manage and mentor a highly skilled team of DevOps Engineers, driving innovation and operational excellence. Your leadership will focus on increasing capability and maturity across Insurance Technology domains, including Continuous Planning, Development, Integration, Deployment, Testing, Delivery, Monitoring, and Feedback. This role is central to enhancing our DevOps maturity and ensuring smooth technology delivery across the business.

What you’ll do

• Working with Tribe Leads and Product Owners to oversee efficient allocation of Chapter members to Tribes and Platforms in line with needs
• Recruitment, develop, and retention of Chapter members including career pathway development
• Providing an inclusive environment where Chapter members have freedom and safety to innovate, experiment, and learn
• Performance management including overseeing, providing feedback, and developing Chapter members
• Manage team performance to achieve departmental strategy, targets, goals, and budget

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years of technology experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles 
• Previous background as a DevOps / Systems / Software Engineer 
• Extensive experience with DevOps processes and cloud services (AWS) 
• Proven ability to develop, coach, and engage technology professionals 
• Excellent leadership skills in coaching, providing feedback, and handling difficult conversations 
• Successful track record in managing distributed teams and partnerships, both offshore and onshore
