About the role:
As Senior Scrum Master you will help to deliver outcomes in a fast, sustainable, and effective manner, by embedding ways of working aligned to Suncorp’s delivery model – ‘Momentum’.
You will be key in transforming the infrastructure teams to smarter and better ways of working, utilising your experience in designing and managing Jira boards.
Essential for this role is your ‘can-do’ flexible attitude, someone who is able to prioritise, drive to deadlines and respond to change easily.
Whilst the ideal candidate will be experienced in Scrum and Agile delivery, we would also consider a Project Manager or Deliver Manager who holds a Scrum Master certification but who also has the personal attributes required for this role.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Scrum Master to join our Enterprise Delivery team where you will be part of the Centre of Excellence Community to network and share knowledge with other Scrum practitioners and leaders.
What you’ll do:
- Work with a community of Scrum master’s and Platform Delivery Leads to sequence work and manage dependencies across Platform Squads; manage flow, sequencing, slicing and velocity of work within the squads.
- Work with Platform Delivery Managers/Product Owners to manage and prioritise work through the backlog, driving removal of impediments and ensuring work is tracked and progressing and that there is an appropriate balance across Squad members
- Work closely with Solution Architects to prioritise work, whilst managing risk and dependencies, and communicating impacts to internal customers and stakeholders
- Monitor Squad performance and identifies opportunities for improvement, ensure the squad is compliant with appropriate governance and practices
- Perform Squad level reporting and manage RAID
- Communicate and embody the Momentum mindset
What you’ll bring:
- Minimum of 5 years’ Scrum Master experience within enterprise organisation(s) OR Project Manager with Scrum Master Certification
- Min 1 year exposure/experience to infrastructure and/or Platform based technology
- Strong Jira experience (2+ years) including designing and managing Jira boards to develop ways of working
- Demonstrated experience using scaled Agile in a large complex environment, as well as working with a hybrid model
- Flexible attitude, passionate, deadline focused and able to deal with ambiguity
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to rapidly develop trust and credibility with senior stakeholders; developing excellent working relationships and rapport with project stakeholders, including Delivery leaders, business subject matter experts, technology teams and others.
