The role
Our Automation Delivery team aspires to create value and improvement through automation. The Senior Test Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for Business Regression Testing (BRT) and Production Verification Testing (PVT). This individual will play a key role in ensuring the stability and reliability of our automation fleet and web applications as they evolve through various releases and updates.
Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools is a bonus but not essential.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain comprehensive test automation frameworks
- Develop automated test scripts for Automated processes, web apps and services using UI Path Test Suite
- Identify opportunities to implement automation within existing manual testing processes
- Contribute to UI automation testing where applicable, ensuring seamless end-to-end coverage
- Collaborate to define testing strategies and teach our Developers test-driven development
- Monitor and report on test execution results, identifying root causes of defects and working with teams to resolve issues promptly
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and techniques to ensure best practices
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in computer science, software engineering or equivalent (desired)
- ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level Certification (CTFL) (desired)
- ICAgile Certified Professional – Agile Test Automation (ICP-ATA) (desired)
- Minimum 3 years Test Automation experience or Test-Driven Development
- Demonstrable expertise in test automation and integrating automation frameworks
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices for modern software development
- Hands-on experience with automation tools
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools like Jira or Confluence
- Passionate about quality assurance and driving continuous improvement in testing processes
