About the Role:
We’re looking for a trade-qualified Motor Assessor with hands-on experience in panel beating, spray painting, or mechanical repairs (Cert III or equivalent). You’ll use your technical knowledge and strong customer skills to assess vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair quotes, and negotiate settlements. Your understanding of collision repairs and the repair process will help you confidently manage motor claims, delivering cost-effective and quality outcomes for our customers.
Experience in collision repair, service centre management, or as a service advisor is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end motor claims, conducting assessments and overseeing repairs.
- Cultivate relationships with industry partners and internal teams.
- Ensure accurate cost estimations and safe repair recommendations.
- Work collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals.
- Improve customer experience by providing exceptional service and support.
- Demonstrate a willingness to help your peers and contribute to team success.
- Enjoy and promote a high-performance culture within the organisation.
What You Bring
- Trade qualification (Cert III) in panel beating, spray painting, or a related mechanical trade (mandatory)
- A minimum of 3 years' post-trade qualification experience in a relevant repair or assessing environment (mandatory)
- Solid understanding of vehicle repairs, particularly panel work and collision repair fundamentals.
- Experience reading and interpreting repair quotes or estimating vehicle repairs.
- Confident customer-facing skills, with the ability to manage conversations and handle objections professionally.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage your workload efficiently.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Current unrestricted driver’s licence.
