Suncorp is looking for a Senior Platform System Engineer to help lead the evolution of Suncorp’s enterprise platforms. This is a pivotal opportunity to apply your Oracle Cloud, SaaS, and multi-cloud expertise across some of our most critical systems.
As a hands-on technical leader, you’ll drive the delivery of resilient, secure, and scalable platforms, enabling transformation across our finance, HR, and operational environments. You’ll work within a collaborative and forward-thinking team that values modern engineering practices like Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and CI/CD.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of strategic platform solutions in line with our enterprise roadmap
- Administer and optimise Oracle Fusion SaaS and OCI environments, ensuring performance, availability, and compliance
- Champion automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices using tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins
- Own the end-to-end technical operations of enterprise platforms
- Deliver system enhancements and transformation initiatives in close partnership with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and key stakeholders
- Mentor and uplift engineering capability through collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to the migration and modernisation of legacy systems to OCI, AWS, and Azure environments
What You’ll Bring
- Oracle Cloud Administrator Certification (mandatory), with additional cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) highly desirable
- Proven experience (5+ years) in platform/system engineering within large, complex enterprise environments
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Oracle Fusion SaaS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and associated integration technologies (e.g., OIC, APIs)
- Strong experience working in multi-cloud environments (OCI, AWS, Azure)
- Proficiency in automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell)
- Familiarity with ITIL, service management best practices, and Agile/CI-CD delivery methodologies
