  • Exciting opportunity to join a newly formed team in delivering sustainable technology and process change into the Commercial Claims business
  • Lead the delivery of claims related initiatives into the Commercial business

Reporting to the Senior Product Owner, the Initiative Lead is to facilitate the design, delivery and management of complex initiative implementation into the Commercial & Personal Injury business, enabling delivery of value to our customers in line with the Protect Me and My Business Tribe missions and key results (MKRs).

The purpose of this role is to work within the assigned Tribe Squad and partner with key stakeholders from the business to deliver against the C&PI business priorities. The role executes delivery of strategic imperatives which result in cost effective claims management, regulatory compliance and create best in class customer experiences. This includes coordinating the delivery elements within the squad and working with the Senior Product Owner, peers, stakeholders and SMEs to ensure successful delivery and realisation of benefits.

What you’ll do: 

  • Support the Product Owner to translate the product roadmap into a Program of Work that will deliver on our mission outcomes and achieve our MKR’s
  • Responsible for maintaining a single view of Squad scope and delivery progress which should incorporate other LoB-specific change impacts on an as-needs basis.  
  • Maintain awareness of in-Squad dependencies, exploration of down-stream impacts associated with timeline or scope changes – particularly where Benefit realisation will be impacted
  • Demonstrate a ‘customer obsession’ by proactively understanding of our customers’ needs and current pain points to always improve our claims customer experience
  • Actively collaborate with the business, the Protect Me and My Business Tribe and partners to support data driven insights and solutions.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 7 years appropriate industry experience in general insurance (mandatory)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the assigned Tribe Squad aligned Business area - Commercial Claims or similar experience - desired
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory compliance requirements including GI COP / ICA / CHaaFS- highly desired
  • Proven experience in driving continuous improvement, innovation or change initiatives, working in collaboration with others to achieve outcomes
  • Experience representing business stakeholders in agile system development / enhancements translating product objectives into technology and process requirements
  • Experience delivering outcomes in an environment requiring autonomous prioritisation of time and resources across multiple significant initiatives and co-ordination of deliverables across peers and working groups.
