About the role:
We have several permanent opportunities within the commercial insurance space for Senior Business Analysts.
Ideally you will have:
- 5+ years working in the commercial insurance domain
- Led operational transformations (lead or contributed to significant changes in how a business operates particularly through modernisation, digitisation, and efficiency improvements) in a high tempo scaled agile environment
- Experience in navigating complex technical changes across a vast network of stakeholders leveraging use of AI in your day to day or have experience in AI based projects.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of a community around 290 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.

What you'll do
- Lead to deliver change in the Commercial insurance domain within cross functional teams
- Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
- Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work.
- Working in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitate workshops and design solution sessions
What you'll bring
- ESSENTIAL: Minimum 6+ years’ Senior Business Analysis experience within a corporate environment
- Commercial Insurance experience and subject matter expertise is highly regarded especially in Workers Compensation
- Either workers comp, AI or operational transformation experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference
- Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines, while also working autonomously.
